Thursday was Christmas Open House at Ava's school. Each grade level got to sing a few songs in the gymnasium and there were many other activities going on. There was a Santa Store where parents and
students could buy gifts, there were Christmas story readings in the media center, food was sold in the lunchroom, pictures with Santa were offered, and the school was decorated with the many activities the students have been doing in preparation for Christmas. Ava's pre-k class were the first ones to sing. The gym was decorated so beautifully and all of the kids looked so happy to be singing in front of a huge crowd! They sang "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Jingle Bells". After she sang, we went to the library for a Christmas story reading and then on to buy
cinnamon rolls. No pictures with Santa though.I was thoroughly impressed with how much work was put into decorating the school so beautifully for Christmas. Garland with lights were hung in the halls, the courtyard was covered in white lights and we were able to find Ava's gingerbread girl she had decorated for her class. It was a wonderful and heavily attended event.
