Gator & Coke

Our whole family loves watching Swamp People.  If you are not familiar with this TV show it's a show that documents the lives of gator hunters in Louisiana during gator season.  Several episodes have shown the gator hunters cooking and eating their catch with family and friends.  The girls thought eating gator was cool and have wanted to try it ever since.  After we left the hospital today from seeing Cale, we, along with Grandma, Grandpa, Nate, & Emmy, went to Jinrights (an excellent seafood restaurant) to eat lunch.  And what do you guess they had on their menu??  GATOR!!!  Kelly ordered an appetizer of gator meat and the girls ate every bit!  They kept calling the gator meat "Dozer", which was one of the gators that was caught and ate in one episode.  They loved it!!  I, on the other hand, passed on eating any of it.

In addition to eating gator, the girls had another new experience.  This was the first time that we allowed the girls to order Coca-Cola as their beverage.  They have tasted coke before and have had several sips, but we have never let them order that as their drink at a restaurant.  They were so excited!!
