Claire's "Junior" Year

Yesterday we attended "graduation" at Claire's school. Claire is not graduating to Pre-K next year but since she is a "junior" she is part of the graduation ceremony. The kids showed us what they had learned at school this year. The sang songs, recited nursery rhymes, recited bible verses, named shapes and colors. There was also a slide show that highlighted each student and showed various pictures of them throughout the year. Claire did so well! Her nursery rhyme was "Sing a Song of Sixpence" and she recited it perfectly. She knew all her shapes, colors, and bible verses. Every student wore their "Caleb" shirts for the ceremony. Caleb is a little boy who attended school with them until they discovered he had leukemia. He is under going major treatment and he was remembered at graduation since he could not be there. After the ceremony, each student got a gift from Mrs. Lisa which consisted of a copy of the slide show, a picture of all the kids in a frame, a coloring book, crayons, and a water squirter. All guests were treated to cake, chips, and drinks afterwards.

Lisa always does a wonderful job teaching our kids and putting on graduation. I could not imagine my children going to any other school!
