A Bag of Rice, A Well-Worn Box, & Christmas Collage

Since Sam was a little boy, us girls would always tease him that all he was getting for Christmas was a bag of rice.  Why rice?  I have no idea!  Probably because we were mean and we were aggravating him.  So, every Christmas since then we wrap up a bag of rice to give him!  Look how excited he is to get his rice...

Now, my sweet mama is so sweet and precious, but she never has all her presents wrapped by Christmas Eve!  She is usually still wrapping presents as we are getting ready to open them.  This year, she ran out of boxes, tape, and paper with many presents still to wrap.  So what did she do?  Since we open gifts one at a time (youngest to oldest) she stalked one poor little Christmas box like a lion stalking it's prey.  This box was the kind that had designs on it that made it look already wrapped.  Everyone had the privilege of opening a gift from this box!  She would wait until the box was opened then she would quietly pounce on the box, run back to her room, and load up another gift in it.  It did not take long for us to catch on to what was going on as each of us got the same box:)  Below is a picture I caught of her red-handed:)
Look at that poor little box:)

The remaining pictures are some of my favorite from this Christmas Eve.

Awe, sweet!

May the force be with you
