Today we returned from a much anticipated, long awaited, AWESOME trip to Disney World! My family, Lealane's family, and my parents have been planning this trip for over a year. We wanted Julianna to be at least three years old in the hopes that she would enjoy and remember the vacation. In October, Lealane, mama, and I met up to order tickets, link our accounts online, and discuss what we wanted to do while at Disney. Lealane is a master at vacation planning! Weeks before we left for Disney, she had itineraries planned out for each park and had copies for all of us! We had all our FastPasses scheduled and dining reservations made so there was minimal waiting. And let me say, the trip could not have gone any smoother! It was AWESOME!
Claire had a track meet on the day we were suppose to leave for Disney so we went to her meet then left for Disney. We did not arrive too late and the place we stayed was super nice! Kelly's parents have a time share and they let us use it for our vacation. Everyone else stayed inside the park. Even though we all did not stay in the same place, we were together a large part of everyday in the parks. The time we picked to go to Disney was perfect. The ages of all the kids were perfect and we had three distinct levels of thrill seekers:
#1: The roller coaster, big thrill rider. This would be Ava, Olivia, and Owen. When did Ava turn into a roller coaster girl I do not know? She sought out the biggest, baddest rides at each park and wanted to ride them over and over. It made me a little sad because she is out of her princess phase. She did not say that to me, but when we did meet some of the princesses, I could tell by the look on her face that she was over it. Sniff, sniff!
#2: The "I still like princesses a little and I like coasters some too." This would be Claire. She still liked meeting the princesses (some), but I could tell her princess phase is almost over. She also rode most of the coasters but there was one coaster in particular she did not want to ride at all. And she definitely did not want to ride them more than once.
#3: The princess phase. This would be Julianna. She is all about the princesses! We met a ton of princesses and it was such a magical experience. Her little face just lit up and she was so happy to hug and talk to the princesses.
It was a great vacation and the next several posts will be dedicated to our trip.
