Today was the annual Turkey Trot hosted by the girls' elementary school. Each grade level runs a mile and the first five girl and boy finishers receive a medal. Ava and Claire have always finished in the top five. However, this year Ava came in sixth by less than a second. She was disappointed but we talked about how she will have to work harder for next year. Claire, on the other hand, was first place in the girls. She won first place last year as well! Both girls love to run and they always enjoy the Turkey Trot. I am so glad I was able to see both of them run.
