Today Gigi treated me, Lealane, and all the grandkids to a day of fun at a local aquatic center. This center is designed for younger children. It was smaller than a normal water park, but it was perfect for our kids! Everything was very well kept and very clean. Once we arrived we made our way to a water slide play area. This area was like a huge play house but with water. There were multiple slides, water buckets that dumped every few minutes and water showers. The kids loved this area! Julianna found a slide just her size and rode it many times.
This park also had a lazy river that was a perfect size for the older four kids. They could touch the bottom but it was deep enough to swim. Julianna and I found a float and enjoyed leisurely drifting around the river. Ava, Olivia, and Claire decided to swim/float ahead of us and we let them. The lazy river was big enough but not so big that we couldn't see the girls at any point in the river. These girls thought they were hot stuff because they did not have adult right by their side...even though three sets of eyes were on them at all times:)
The only big slide at the water park was the Orange Crush. In order to ride the rider had to be 48" tall. Claire definitely was tall enough, Ava was right at the line, Olivia was a little short, and Owen...bless, he was no where close. Claire did not want to ride but Ava and Olivia did. Ava and Olivia made the cut and enjoyed going down several times. Lealane and I even decided to ride. I have to say it was dark and a little scary! Everyone had a great time! We will definitely be returning!
