Horseshoe crab

Not only do we love laying in the sun and playing in the water at the beach, but we always enjoy the sea creatures we get to see each year.  In years past we've seen sea turtles, dolphins, crabs, fish, sharks, rays, and much more.  This year we saw a horseshoe crab!  Now, Kelly and I have seen a horseshoe crab before, but the girls have not.  We were in the ocean a little over ankle deep and I saw something black coming up to the shore with each wave.  Upon further inspection, Kelly and I discovered it was a horseshoe crab.  Kelly grabbed it out of the water and gave Ava and Claire a mini science lesson.  They were so excited!
