Christmas Open House 2011

Tonight was Ava's school's annual Christmas Open House.  This is a time where students, parents, and the community are invited to come to school and see the kids sing, buy Christmas gifts, see Santa, eat, and see their child's schoolwork.  All of the kindergarteners wore their reindeer shirts they made at school and sang "Jingle Bells" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".  After Ava sang, we walked around and saw some of her schoolwork and then proceeded to the cafeteria to see "the big guy"...Santa!  Now, anyone who knows our girls knows we have NEVER had a successful Santa encounter.  However, this year it all changed!  Ava actually sat in Santa's lap and we got the pictures to prove it!  Claire still did not want to sit in Santa's lap but a few weeks later she sat in Santa's lap at the mall.  We had a great time and I love making these memories with my family.
