Christmas Time

Christmas is my favorite time of year! It is a time to celebrate Jesus's birth and to be with family. We went to Gigi and Papa's for Christmas Eve and Grandma and Grandpa Murray's on Christmas day. Ava and Olivia got a drum set from Gigi and Papa which they loved! Even though Claire and Owen were too small for a gift like that, they tried to play with the big girls...well Claire did, Owen was tired out before the evening got started. Ava got a cowboy hat and cowboy boots from Grandma and Grandpa and Claire got a push vaccuum cleaner. They both loved their gifts.

This year the girls were old enough to know what was going on and they were so excited! Ava had been singing Christmas carols for weeks and was so excited about giving and getting gifts. Claire loved the tree and to my surprise, she did not really mess with the ornaments like I thought she would. Christmas morning at our home was wonderful and relaxing. We all got up around 8:00 and the girls opened their gifts. Claire and Ava got several gifts but their big item was a wooden playhouse outside! Kelly had been working on building it for several weeks until he broke his arm. But that did not keep Santa from bringing them a slide and swings to go on it. Kelly spent so much time videoing Christmas morning that we did not take many still pictures.
