Opening Day
Opening Day. Those two words mean different things to different people. It can mean the start of a sports season, the opening of a new store, the opening of a seasonal amusement park, etc. Around my house "Opening Day" means the first day of deer season. Kelly loves to hunt and works throughout the year getting ready for opening day. During the year he has worked on several projects in order to increase his chances of getting a big deer. He built a condo in the summer, put up a few more wildlife cameras, trimmed back heavy brush, and scouted out the best areas to hunt. He got some good pictures of some big deer and was excited at the prospect of bagging a huge buck on the first day. However, there is a reason those deer are big...they are also smart. Unfortunately, Kelly did not get the deer he wanted that day but he remains hopeful to get a good size deer later this year.
