The Spelling Bee Champ!!

This girl is following in her daddy's footsteps!  She is the 1st-2nd grade spelling bee champ for her school!  Her daddy won the spelling bee several years in a row when he was in elementary school.  A couple of weeks ago she won her class spelling bee so she advanced to the school wide spelling bee.  All of the 1st and 2nd grade class winners came together for the final bee.  Last year Ava won her class but came in 5th at the school wide bee.  She was disappointed last year and was determined to win overall this year.  She has been studying her words for a week or so now and it paid off!  She and one of her friends were the last two standing.  The other little girl did an awesome job but missed the word "turkey".  In order for Ava to win she had to spell "turkey" correctly and one more word.  She spelled turkey correctly and then spelled "witness" for the win!  She was so excited and received a beautiful trophy!  I was so glad I could attend the event and "witness" my sweet girl's win!!
