Christmas Parade

Tonight was our town's annual Christmas parade so we met up with the usual crew to enjoy the parade.  I thought this year's parade was wonderful.  All of the floats were good, everyone was happy and excited about Christmas time, and the weather was nice.  Ava, Claire, Olivia, Owen, Natalie, and Audrey are all big enough to really enjoy getting candy.  Julianna was content to be held and have an occasional lick of a lollipop.  There were several floats that stood out in my mind.  First was the float by the United States Marine Corp.  They had a huge sign that read, "Two people died for you...Jesus for your sins and a veteran for your freedom".  I loved that float!

The second float wasn't really a float but a van.  A local radio station was blaring music and had a guy standing on top of the van dancing and getting the crowd to interact.  What made it so good was that he was a really good dancer and the crowd really got involved!  Everyone was clapping and having a good time!  I could so see Sam doing this:)  All the kids had a great time getting candy, but they were really excited about seeing Olivia riding in the parade.  She was riding on the float with the girl scouts and we all cheered her on as she passed by.
