Sand & Surf

This year we spent a large part of our vacation actually at the beach.  Our first full day at the beach was the most beautiful day I can ever remember.  It was sunny but not hot and the wind was blowing just the perfect amount.  This year Kelly purchased the girls a boogie board and this whole vacation week could have been summed up as "The Year of the Boogie Board"!  Well, for Ava at least.  She loved the boogie board and spent 99% of her beach time on the it...and she got really good at riding the waves.

In addition to riding the boogie board, both girls loved finding beautiful sea shells.  Kelly and I had to explain what a good sea shell was because they wanted to pick up every shell they found!
