Ava's Birthday

Last Tuesday (April 20), was Ava's 4th birthday. She had her birthday party the Saturday before so for her actual birthday Kelly, Claire, and I took her out. Our first stop was to the "Make a Friend" factory in the mall (this is similar to "Build A Bear"). Ava and Claire got to pick out a "friend" they wanted to make. Ava picked a cat (Suzy) and Claire picked a puppy (Pennie). The girls got to push the pedal to make the stuffing go into the puppy, they got to "wash" their friend, they got to pick out an outfit, and name their friend. They enjoyed this so much! We got birth certificates and everything for their new baby! After we left the mall, we went to eat at Michael's Deli. Ava loves shrimp and that is what she wanted for her birthday. Next, was a stop at Wal-Mart for Ava to exchange some duplicate birthday gifts and get something else. Last, we came home and presented her with a "Princess and the Frog" book. Needless to say that was the book she picked to have read to her at bed time.

Ava had a great day all the way around! I made cupcakes for her to take to school to share with her friends, and all the kids sang to her at school. She was line leader and led the Pledge of Allegiance that day at school! It was a good day!
