The day after we got back from vacation, the corn was ready to be
put up. There is a small window when the corn is just right to put up. So we spent the next two days shucking, silking, and blanching corn. The girls have always gone to this "corn party", but this year they really worked. Olivia silked the whole time, even when the other kids went inside. The kids became distracted when they discovered a worm. Ava and Claire held it and then the others gathered around to look at it. Everyone worked long and hard (until 9:00 and 9:30) but the result...yummy corn all year long!
