November 11 is veteran's day and Ava's school had a spectacular veteran's day program. Kelly, me, Gigi, and Papa were able to attend the program. They recognized veterans, had a guest speaker who did a wonderful job, and gave awards to students. A few weeks prior to veteran's day each grade level was able to either write a paper or color a picture for veteran's day. Ava is in pre-k and the pre-k kids got to color an American flag. There were four winners selected from pre-k and Ava was one of them!!! At the veteran's day ceremony, they announced the kids and gave them their awards. There was a third place, second place, first place, and overall winner. As they started calling out the names, they didn't call Ava's name until it was time to announce the first place winner. Kelly and I were so excited when they called her name for first place, which is AWESOME!!! She got a nice certificate and a blue ribbon. We were so excited!! We got to see all the pictures that were colored and her picture was so different. Every other kid's picture was red, white, and blue; not Ava's. She colored her picture the colors of the rainbow and it was beautiful!!

We hung around later to love on Ava but the pre-k kids had already gone to lunch. We went to the lunchroom and could not help but snap a picture of her carrying her tray! It was so precious!

My baby is growing up!
Way to go Ava!
