The Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weekends ago we made our annual visit to the local pumpkin patch. Every year we go with one of our best couple friends and their little boy (Lois is expecting another baby in the spring). Every year there are are so many fun things for the to do like jumping on a big parachute looking thing, roping steer, riding the cow train, and petting the donkies "Elvis" & "Pearl". Some of the NEW things the girls enjoyed was a corn crib & a "bucking" bull! Ava always loves the "spider" slide. Below is a cool picture of her at the top about to come down.

As the girls get older they enjoy the hayride and the pumpkin patch more. However this year, Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Linus were visitors in the pumpkin patch. The local farmers' daughter and a few of her friends were dressed up as the characters. Ava was okay with this, but Claire held on to me, tighter than usual, and cried. She kept saying, "Mama, let's get out of here". Bless my baby! She did, however, get off just long enough to get her pumpkin and immediately get back on the trailer. We love this pumpkin patch and we love taking our girls! Every year we can do more and more things with them there. Hopefully next year we will be able to complete the corn maize.
