Due to the tragic earthquake in Haiti, many businesses and organizations are taking up donations to help provide food, water, etc. Last week, Ava and Claire's school took up a donation as well. All the kids were encouraged to bring their piggy banks and empty them for the kids of Haiti. The money was sent to the Piedmont Baptist Ministerial Association

for the missionaries in Haiti who operate an orphanage. Ava came home several days, before Kelly and I learned of the donation, telling us that she needed to take money to school for the kids in Haiti. She said, "Mama, did you know there are so many kids who don't have food or water or toys in Haiti? Some kids don't have mommys and daddys anymore. We need to give them some money!" Ava and Claire took their piggy banks and shook all their money out! The daycare raised $204! Ava, along with three other kids, got to go to the bank and help roll the money! She was so proud! Mrs. Lisa says that Ava has the heart of a missionary...I totally agree!!!
